Cookies
We use a technology nicknamed "cookies" on Our web Site.
Cookies are pieces of information or data sent to Your browser from a
web server and stored on Your computer's hard drive for record-keeping
purposes. Cookies store small amounts of data on Your computer about
Your visit to Our Site. Upon Your visit to Creased.com, Our server sends
a "cookie" to Your computer. We use cookies to make Your visit to Our
web Site easier. Cookies also allow Us to count the number of unique and
return visitors who use Our Site. Cookies tell Us nothing about You
personally unless You specifically give Us additional information
through Our various submission forms and Our online store. Creased, Inc.
uses cookies to improve the quality of Our service and to understand Our
customer base more. Creased, Inc. does this by storing user preferences
in cookies and by tracking user trends and patterns of how people
navigate through Our website and how people shop in Our online store.
Creased, Inc. will not disclose its cookies to third parties except as
required by a valid legal process such as a search warrant, subpoena,
statute, or court order. (see disclosure exceptions)
Our Site is viewable even if a user disables the cookie function within
the web browser. However, some advanced features use cookies to assist
in keeping track of Your location within the Creased, Inc. website in
order to provide navigational trails and similar navigational
features. These cookies are not used to personally identify Your
surfing patterns, and are merely used to provide navigation links.
Disabling Your cookies simply means that some of these features will
not have custom navigation available to You.
Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. You can reset Your
browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being
sent. Be aware, however, that some parts of Our website and Our online
store may not function properly if You refuse cookies.
Session IDs Creased.com also uses Active Server Page
(ASP) technology, which stores information on Our servers using a
Session object. Because Sessions expire after a period of disuse
(usually 30 minutes), this means that the Session information itself is
temporary. Only information described in the previous section
("Types of information we gather and how they are used
") will be transferred to longer-term records for
billing verification.
ASP assigns an ID to each session by means of an
HTTP cookie, which is a small file stored on the user's browser. This
ID is used to uniquely identify each user session. All the remaining
information on this session is stored on the server.
The first time a user requests an .asp file within a
given application, ASP generates a Session ID. A number produced by a
complex algorithm, the Session ID uniquely identifies each user's
session. At the beginning of a new session, the server stores the
Session ID in the user's Web browser as a cookie.
The Session ID cookie is similar to a locker key in
that, as the user interacts with an application during a session, ASP
can store information for the user in a "locker" on the
server. The user's Session ID cookie, transmitted in the HTTP request
header, enables access to this information in the way that a locker
key enables access to a locker's contents. Each time that ASP receives
a request for a page, it checks the HTTP request header for a Session
ID cookie.
After storing the Session ID cookie in the user's
browser, ASP reuses the same cookie to track the session, even if the
user requests another .asp file, or requests an .asp file running in
other application. Likewise, if the user deliberately abandons or lets
the session timeout, and then proceeds to request another .asp file,
ASP begins a new session using the same cookie. The only time a user
receives a new Session ID cookie is when the server administrator
restarts the server, thus clearing the Session ID settings stored in
memory, or the user restarts the Web browser. By reusing the Session
ID cookie, ASP minimizes the number of cookies sent to the browser.

U
se common sense in all your online
activities
Although Creased.com is committed to protecting Your privacy,
not all other web sites are as conscientious. Therefore, Creased, Inc.
cannot be responsible for the content or Privacy Policies of other web
sites including those of advertisers to which it may link and those
which link to Creased.com. This Privacy Policy applies only to the
information collected by this web Site. We ask that You review the
Privacy Policies of every online service You use before submitting
personal information.
Please also note that even the best Policy
can't protect Your online privacy and security in all circumstances.
Unscrupulous advertisers, hackers, and scam artists are constantly
searching the Internet looking for new targets and new methods to
penetrate security and Your privacy. Your best protection is to
understand the limits to privacy on the Internet and use common sense
in all of Your on-line activities.
Be aware that e-mail is an inherently
insecure form of communication. Remember that third parties are
sometimes able to illegally intercept Your unencrypted messages,
including online greetings.
Anytime You visit a chat room or post a
message to an on-line bulletin board, Your e-mail address can be
accessed by advertisers looking to compile lists for unsolicited
commercial e-mail (also known as spam). Be sure that You only disclose
Your e-mail address in circumstances in which it is safe to do so.
Beware of scams in which persons
unknown to You request Your screen name, password, or credit card
information. Make sure You verify the identity of anyone asking for
personal information.
Always monitor Your children's on-line
activities and educate them as to the rules for safe Internet use. For
more information, click here for the Internet Education Foundation's
Online Safety Guide for Kids.
Protection
for children
We at Creased, Inc.
are committed to protecting the privacy and rights of children online.
We believe that children should be able to use the Internet in a safe,
productive, and efficient manner and should be afforded the highest
protection available with respect to their personal information. The
Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA") imposes certain
requirements upon web sites and online services that are directed toward
children. To learn more about COPPA, visit the Federal Trade Commission
COPPA web Site.
