Countdown to the National Stationery Show

For the first time, Creased will be attending the National Stationery Show as an exhibitor. It's the single most important annual event in the stationery industry, and we'll be there, making our handnade origami greeting cards available to thousands of buyers from across the country.

We've been gearing up for the big event, and we're looking forward to exhibiting our unique product to this huge once-a-year audience. Not only that, but this year's theme, "The power of paper," fits right into what we do. Nothing reveals the power of paper like origami!

The National Stationery Show will be held May 18-21, 2003 in New York City at the Jacob Javits Center. About 1400 exhibitors and over 15,000 buyers in dozens of stationery and gift genres make this the event of the year. (For more about the Show, visit http://www.nationalstationeryshow.com.) Creased will be exhibiting in Booth 7217 on the first level. Expect a full report in the next newsletter.

New products in our online retail store

Our updated online retail store has some new items we know you'll love.

Greeting cards - We've added our newest lines to the online store, all featuring different and innovative origami designs using rich and beautiful papers. Each line of cards has its own feel and tone and uses distinctive papers and accents--the Natural Line, for example, uses real natural items in its designs to complement the origami. And coming soon we'll have new lines of cards with all new designs, so stay tuned. Meanwhile you can now take a look at our Signature Line, Kimono Line, Elegance Line, Carousel Line (right), and Natural Line, and order them online.

Origami paper - We've gotten some new shipments in on some of our most popular items, and singled out for especial notice is our ten-pattern pack of Aizome Chiyogami. If you've never worked with aizome, you have to try it. It's all deep, rich blues, blacks, and indigo, and the paper is so soft and think it feels like cotton fabric--yet it holds a perfect crease. And don't forget to check out all our different kinds of papers, including oversized chiyogami sheets and lots of different patterns and colors.

Creased trademark approved

Creased passed another corporate milestone this spring when the Creased name and distinctive logo became registered trademarks with the United States Patent and Trademark office.
