One Piece Omega Star

This 12 pointed star is folded from one sheet of paper.  I think there are a few different creators of the modular type of the star (12 piece, 6 piece) Robert E. Neal, Philip Shen, Michael Naughton and David Mitchell.  I'm not sure who really came up with this one piece model.  If you know the creator email me so I can give credit to this wonderful model.

I learned this model at a special Sunday folding session at the Museum of Natural History.  I've folded dozens of stars so far and have given most of them away.  Its a real crowd pleaser because of the complex look and they can't believe that it is folded from one sheet of paper without any cuts or glue.

Kawasaki Roses

These roses were folded from a velvet textured paper.  I'm in the process of folding a hundred of each for an art installation of some sort.

I don't know quite yet what I am going to do with them, but they look really nice because of the textured fuzzy paper.

The roses were folded from 3 inch squares.

Kimono Back

This kimono is a work in progress.  I just scanned in what I have finished so far.

Once I am satisfied with what the model looks like I'll make up some diagrams and post them in the diagrams section.

There is an obi and several pleats to the front and possibly a collar.

Origami Orchid

This lifelike origami orchid was created for the exhibition at the 2003 Origami USA convention.

The flowers were folded from a very light Japanese Washi Kaede and hand painted with vibrant water colors.

Rokoan Style Cranes

Rokoan Style Cranes is an ancient method of folding the traditional cranes where they are joined or connected.

Its really a challenge to fold all these cranes and have them still connected to each other.  This particular model contains 30 cranes and is made from one sheet of paper.
