Patriotism made from the
Peace of Paper
Creased, Inc. is sponsoring a paper crane
project to remember the many lives lost in the September 11th tragedy.
We are piecing together an American Flag made entirely
of paper cranes. All the cranes will be made from red, white, and
blue paper that is 3 inches square. This flag will be donated to
the City of New York to honor the brave men and women who
gave up their lives to save so many other people, and to those rescue
workers who gave so much of their time and soul to the search for
survivors. This flag will also be a memorial for those who have
perished and dedicated to their family and friends.
The paper crane is internationally known as a symbol
of peace. This idea popularized by the story of Sadako Sasaki
during World War II and the bombing of Hiroshima, Japan. (click
